I recommend that you start at the top. Ride all three legs of 007 and judge for yourself. If you wanted to ride only the lower 2 sections then you'll know how far you need to ride up Central Camp road to get to each trail head. Watch for rattlesnakes. Almost ran over one on the lower section.

Getting there
Take Hwy 41 North through Oakhurst. Turn right on Road 222/Bass Lake Road. Take this road just past Bass Lake (you'll be on the east side of the lake) to Central Camp Road. Park in the dirt area to the right of the road. Ride up Central Camp Road to Francis Junction Road (40-60 minutes)and take a left (if you cross the bridge over the stream you went too far). Ride about 1 1/2 miles past the beaver ponds to a large clearing on the left side of the road. The first leg of 007 begins here. There are two other trail heads to lower sections of 007 that you will see as you come down from the beginning.

    Gen of the Central Sierra s.
    Great training on the DH or enduro bike, shuttleable or easy climb up the road.
    Shuttles, Long travel bikes, full face helmets and pads are recommended for best results.

    Trail was in much better shape than only a month ago. Lite rain has helped compact the dread first section and the ruts although still present are actually rideable

    Top section is flowy great, middle is rocky and technical but the bottom section is trashed with major ruts, some as tall as my head. Other than having to walk through most of that, fun trail with plenty of climbing options to get to.

    Rode this fall November, perfect weather in the 40`s went up the first leg a tough climb took me an hour but a great work out, down is fast 10-15 min.and fun can`t wait to try the next leg.

    Excellent trail. Climb up the fire road or for more of a workout climb the singletrack up and then take it back down. Climbing up the fire road is mellow and very enjoyable with great scenery. Climbing up the singletrack is pretty much what you'd expect. Not quite as much scenery but still scenic none the less. More mosquitoes hang out in the singletrack too so bring your bug repellant and watch for snakes in hotter weather. Great climb either way. Coming down there are three different sections of singletrack provided you've climbed to the top. BTW, the climb to the top is worth it for the scenery alone. The singletrack down is just the icing on the cake. The top section of singletrack is kind of up and down pedal here and there but mostly down. The second section is definitely the rock garden section. Fast and furious and will challenge most riders abilities if you lay off the brakes and fly. The third and final section is awesome. Fast and flowy with jumps, berms, wall rides, ramps, ruts, etc. If you don't have fun on this section you may need to buy a road bike. Get out here and ride to live.

    For going the first time it wasn't to bad. There is definatly surprises so don't get going to fast, but tgere is a good flow to the single track. Watch out for the rock patches and some sandy spots. Stop at the local bike shop yosemitebikes on 49 just passed Denny's, they had maps made of single tracks and they can get you going the right direction.

    This is a good ride. There is more than double o though. There is a third and even a 4th o. I love going up almost as much as going down. Very good workout. The down hill can be as fast as u want. Extremely fast downhill. One of my finest rides. Wish I lived down there so I could ride it more.

    Lower section- By far the best out of the three, Awesome trail, lots of 2 to 3 foot man made jumps to launch off of, a few rock gardens (nothing to bad) and a hell of a lot of fun, speaking as a local. Ride this trail every Thursday and Saturday, about 5 miles to the top of the first section if your riding up the road and about 3 miles down. Overall it's a great trail!
