I added ICAN 90mm carbon wheels and went tubeless on mine and saved around 4 lbs there. I also went to a Clarks full floating 180mm front rotor with Shimano spacer, and Origin-8 Batwing handlebars
Pros Nice frame , decent components, truly a brute of a bike.
Cons A bit heavy, no mounting holes for racks. Have yet to find a derailleur hanger... I like to have a spare.
For what I got it for I am convinced this was the absolute best option for me. Great entry-level fat bike that is capable of all kinds of terrain.
Pros Lower price range, snagged on Amazon for $575. Rating based on this price.
- Came with stock bulldozers
- Complete setup weights in at 35 lbs once I replaced crankset for SRAMX5 and put on studded platform pedals.
- Geometry good for cross-country and all-around riding, not built for racing.
- Specced modestly, room for upgrades, but will fit 5.05" tire in front fork.
Cons Paint job not my favorite color (satin red). Custom painted to yellow. The frame was great, but parts could use some improvement -- stock pedals and crankset were lead-heavy. Rims are heavy, but what to expect at this price? Rear thru-axle/front quick release is odd combo.
Thanks for catching my inaccuracy -- the fork IS bluto tapered. When I was looking to upgrade the crankset I thought about FSA Comet but that didn't fit. I am very happy with my SRAM X5 for all practical purposes, but if you're looking to go higher end SRAM GXP1000 or Race Face Aeffect cranksets would be compatible and higher end. Note that the Samox bottom bracket will not be compatible with these cranksets. You will probably want to replace the Samox cheap junk completely anyway.
Just have to say that I've upgraded almost everything on my bike except the frame, including lighter BB, Vee Snowshoe 2XL in the front, RD, took off FD and switched to 1 by, and the frame is functional as ever!

ThankWhat is a good crank upgrade for this bike?
ThankAlso, what do you mean by "not Bluto tapered" the headset is a 1 1/8" -1 1/2" inch taper?
Great bike, but not very upgradeable.
Pros
Great price for an entry level fat bike. Good components and looks.
Cons
Thank |135mm offset rear, and 135mm non tapered front fork. Weighs around 35lbs.
