This is a great additional light to my helmet light. It is enough light to ride out of the trail if your helmet light craps out. I was able to ride my regular trail with just this light after my HID helmet light died. I think you could ride with just this light on your helmet. Very reasonable price (online) and charges from USB. Comes with a wall charger. Lasts about 1.5 hours on high and charges in about 5 hours. Overall very bright and comes with helmet and bar mount. Great light if your on a budget!

This is a solid little light that pumps out 350 high-quality lumens. The construction is excellent and the burn time seems great. I think the price has been dropped on this light, however, even at $150-160 it is still about $70 more than a 900 lumen magic shine. Yes, the quality of construction is much higher on the minewt, but that many more lumens for such a lower price...

I haven't had the issues the other reviewer had but I only use this light on the handle bars. So far the cable has stayed in with no issues.
Picked this up on sale for $150 so I think for the price, it couldn't be beat, even with the few minor drawbacks.
Again, I can't speak for helmet use but on a bike itself, I'd recommend this light. :3

I borrowed this from a teammate for my night lap at 24 hours of Moab. (The unit is about 2 months old) This light is awful! I mounted it to my helmet and ran the cord behind my back and placed the battery back in my jersey pocket. The cable would easily and frequently come unplugged from the battery pack, which of course made it turn off. Even worse was when I plugged it back in, it didn't return to an 'On' state, so then I would also have to fish around for the hard to reach power switch.
This occurred about 10 times and I finally gave up and decided to run with just the light I had mounted on my handlebars.
I was finally able to borrow some duct tape from another rider and I fixed it, but not before it cost me 15 minutes on my lap time.
Back in the support tent, I talked to several other riders (one pro) who had similar issues with this light and the more expensive Pro 700. All of them were now running Light & Motion Stellas.

Bought a few of these on a trip as we forgot to pack ALL of our stuff. This light was impressive for the $$ spent. 110 lumens of led will definitely cut through the dark, but this light has a narrower beam with a distracting "hotspot" in the middle of the beam. That hotspot draws your attention/focus to it, to the point it bugged me.
I'll keep these as a very viable back-up or guest lights, but not a primary ride.

While a little on the pricey side for handlebar only lights, these work great as a complement for a helmet light for mountain biking, and work equally well on a commuter or road bike in the dark. Don't try and use these as your only light mountain biking as not having a helmet light will really slow you down.
