These are fantastically made lights. They are very tough. They have hit low-hanging branches while mounted to my helmet without even a scratch to the lens. They also charge fairly quickly.
Pros Provide ample lighting, and have a great battery life.
Cons Beam could be a little bit wider, but it's not a deal breaker.
From the lowest to the highest setting, it is a very bright light and great for night riding. This is an upgraded version of the Lumina 1100
Pros Lock Mode, perfect for use during storage and transporting the light. Press and hold power button for 7 seconds to lock/unlock operation of light. IMPORTANT: THE LUMINA 1200 BOOST IS SET TO LOCK MODE AT THE FACTORY. UNLOCK BEFORE USE. All New Collimator Lens, distributes a generous even widespread beam pattern Boost Mode, double tap power button to unleash maximum LED output at 1200 lumens! 5 Light Levels plus 2 Daylight Flash Modes FL1 Standard IP64, dust and water-resistant Secure on and off-road capable handlebar mount, fits up to 35mm handlebars 6 hour runtime on Low at 275 Lumens or go hand-held in Walk Mode - 18 hour runtime at 75 Lumens Lifetime warranty: Covers any defects in mechanical components (housings, covers, mounts and fasteners) and LEDs Low Battery Indicator: Power button changes from blue to red when battery level drops below approx. 20% remaining.
The Lumina is 130 grams and the Solars is 45 grams. My wife got me this set for Christmas last year and i love it it i use it a lot when i run and ride later at night or early morning. It holds a charge very well and seems to be very durable.
Pros Light, easy, to use charge lasts for quite a while
price is pretty low for a budget rider
Cons the mount that comes with the headlight doesnt stay on to my road bike as well as id like.
I really like these Lights, I use it mainly for nite commuting in town. I also use it around the house since its way brighter then any flashlight I have. I also bought the lumina 350 as a xmas gift and although both of our shells cracked and became unable to put on mounts when I contacted niterider their customer service rep. barbarah sent me out two new shells and I got them within two days and am very glad I chose to do business with a reputable company cause it makes all the difference if you ever do experience a problem.
Pros very Bright, compact, no external battery needed, recharges quick and easy, good company to do business with
Cons shell on light is a bit brittle and can crack and become hard to put on mount
Definite Recommendation. This light at 30' gives you about a 6' wide scope of light. If you need to flip your rig and do some quick maintenance just unscrew the knob till it unhooks from the recess in the mounting bracket and pop it off. USB charging means no batteries to bleed your wallet.
Pros Quick easy handlebar or helmet mounting, nice range and scope of light even on low, rugged, splined swivels incase you need to see to the right or left, weather proof, USB recharge, reasonable price.
These hit the perfect price / performance mark for me. I was able to purchase 2 of them one for the helmet and one for the handlebars. They are bright and fill the area with light. Long lasting and durable. They have already taken a couple of impacts to the ground and still look great.
Pros Durable
Bright
Mounting equipment for handlebars and helmet included.
Multiple brightness settings and modes. Including travel mode (locked off)
I absolutely love my new light!! I do not have to worry about getting back to the trail head when the sun is going down. It looks like it is very well built and sealed from the elements.
Pros Internal battery, no cable to battery pack, easy to use, looks good, really nice mount. It has both the handlebar mount and helmet mount, USB charger.
