This gismo turned out to be exactly what I wanted. I have only one complaint, but it is significant. The distance is not at all accurate. If you ride perfectly straight it is fine, but it only records about 80% of actual distance when you're on twisty singletrack.
Pros Lightweight
Ease of use
Easy to attach to bike
All the functions I wanted @ low price
The jury is still out on this one. Great on the road but not totally convinced it is good for the mountain bike. Will test more and hope for better results.
Pros Totally self contained and waterproof. Secure and quick mount to stem. No wheel magnet or calibrating of any kind. Nice stats and downloadable to your computer @ Garminconnect.
Cons Seems to not record entire ride. Rode the other day and seems to only have had a signal about 80% of the time. Also recorded same ride with regular computer and the time and distance were way short of the actual measured distance.
Great little unit, but unless you can find it for less than $100 it's really blown away by the new Edge 20 and 25.
Pros
Reliable, durable, works well
Cons
Thank |Price, lack of connectivity
