If you ride only on trails during daylight hours you don't need this. If you are on the road at all, I HIGHLY suggest it. The side visibility is enhanced by LEDs on the ends. The lighting is selectable between solid and three flash patterns There are two rows of lights and they are independently selectable. I find the random pattern a real attention getter.
Mounting hardware is included for a variety of mounting options, but even so, I had to improvise some to securely mount it to my Topeak Quickrelease Rack. Overall, this is minor though.
If saftey is you primary concern for getting a rear flasher, this is it!
Pros Bright Lights
Side Visibility
Attention Getting
LONG Battery Life
