I would definately recommend this to anyone looking for a 29er hardtail. I'm on my 3rd and this is by far the best overall performer.

So I've had this bike now for 2 1/2 weeks and have about 400 miles on it so far. I commute to work 5 1/2 miles a day and hit up long rides here in Colorado Springs daily. It had some build issues out of the box but my mechanic at work (REI) tore the bike down and did a full rebuild. The brakes vapor locked on a 65 mile ride making me remove the rear caliper and dangle it from the seat for 15 miles. Now that all the quirks are gone it is phenomenal. It's so light weight at 24.5 lbs (25 lbs even with my heavy platform pedals)and it loves to climb. I'm climbing longer and higher than ever and feel a lot less fatigued at the end of my rides because of the geometry of this thing. The 2X10 Sram drivetrain is the same as my last steel 29er with upgrades to X9 shifters (can you say ball bearing precision) and X7 Hollow crank that shifts like nothing else out there even under power. The Lefty of course is what most people see first and it doesn't disapoint in performance with it's rock shox internals (smooth) and rigid in the turns. The front end is so light it comes up with the tiniest amount of effort for climbing roots and rocks. The brakes (Avid Elixir 7's are good) but now as great as I was expecting. I had them screaming for mercy coming down Pikes Peak's Barr Trail. Although I do enjoy the toolless reach adjust. The tires blow ass (Schwalbe Rapid Robs). I'm on Maxxis right now loving it. All in all a fan-freakin-tastic bike!!!!! Oh and I'm 215 lbs of climbing muscle, a recently renewed cardio guy. I'm not easy on bikes at all and this bike I feel just isn't going to fail me..

The tires on this bike are really the only con I have. They just don't do anything well I don't think.
