I really enjoy some of the obstacles that I would never even try with my previous hard tail bike. The full suspension made a big difference for me. The hydraulic disk brakes are super smooth and make controlling the bike on the technical stuff a real dream.

I strongly suggest buying a high pressure pump with a gauge so that you can adjust the back air shock accurately.

After some test drives and then hitting several trails, I did have to tweak the shifters a bit because of normal break-in cable stretch.

I am extremely happy with this new bike that has really brought my riding up to the next level.

*Updates* WTB Bronson 2.3 tires, a Rockshox Monarch RT3 rear shock, heavy springs on Tora fork, and added RockShox MOCO compression damper. These upgrades made a HUGE difference, and transformed this bike into a real singletrack beast. This is one solid bike. Absolutely no problems with it after more than 3 year of use.

Price, I payed $780. Well built all round bike, good components (This is not a top of the line high spec bike), tough frame, low maintenance.

Mail order only. If you are not comfortable with tools, have you local bike shop put it together and tune it for you. Heavy bike.

This has been my go-to bike over the past 7 months, and I am quickly approaching 1,000 miles of off-road riding on this rig. This is one solid, dependable bike that will take what you throw at it and just keep begging for more! This bike rests squarely in the Trail category and is a great choice for all around technical singletrack.

As with the other Airborne bikes, this is actually selling for a lot less than the "MSRP." It's currently selling for $800 on, and is one of the best deals that Airborne currently is offering.

I definitely recommend this rig, and not just because I got one for free, but because I've ridden it hard 3-4 days per week for the last 7 months and it is still running great!

I've written much more about it on my blog:

Solid performing mountain bike. Bomb proof frame, great drivetrain, and an all around reliable bicycle.

Fork feels undergunned when the going gets really rough, and it's pretty hefty (35lbs 19" frame size w/o pedals). (The Airborne Marauder in comparison weighs 38 and the Taka weighs 41.)
